New Year Swatch-along

Who’s in for a year-long stitch-along? We’re increasing our skills and adding new stitches to our toolbox all throughout 2026. On the first working day of each month, I’ll draw two stitch patterns, one knit and one crochet. We’ll pick one to incorporate into a project that will earn us a $20 Rows & Roses gift card at the end of the year. 

Any project counts! Wanna make a set of 12 coasters? Dishcloths? Hats? What about a scarf that uses all 12 stitch patterns? Or 12 squares that you sew into a blanket? Anything goes! Use R&R yarn, stash yarn, or whatever you wish. Check in each month to see the stitch patterns, and to swatch along with friends (monthly attendance is not required, but it sure is fun!)

So, are you in? Stitch patterns will be announced on facebook each month, and will be available on the coffee table in the shop all year long. We will be using “Crochet Every Way Stitch Dictionary” by Dora Ohrenstein, and “365 Knitting Stitches a Year, Perpetual Calendar” published by Martingale & Co. if you wish to purchase for yourself, or check your library (or Thriftbooks!)
